Once again, BINUS UNIVERSITY is appointed to provide the venue for Java Jazz on the Move (JJOTM) 2012. The event, which was held at the food court area of Anggrek Campus BINUS UNIVERSITY, Saturday (18/2), captured the attention of hundreds of youngsters.

As the night went on, the atmosphere on Anggrek Campus’ food court continued to heat up – especially when Andien took the stage. Accompanied by guitar, bass, violin, drum and kebyboard, Andien’s majestic voice mesmerized the audience. She sang hits such as Gemintang, Mentari, Moving on and Milikmu Selalu.

Java Jazz On The Move is a routine event taking place before the Jakarta International Java Jazz Festival held on March 2-4, 2012. This year, Java Jazz On The Move brought Andien, Espoza, Hengky Setiawan and UKM BAND BINUS UNIVERSITY. The audience of JJOTM also had the chance to win tickets for JJF 2012.

JJOTM has been started since January 20. The first venue was F(x) LifeStyle Centre at Sudirman, Jakarta. Afterwards, on every weekend JJOTM was organized on public places such as malls, cafes and universities located in Jakarta. The series of events aimed to bring JJF’s atmosphere to campus.

Meanwhile, Java Jazz Festival which will be held at JIExpo Kemayoran, Jakarta, will boast performances from famous jazz musicians. Herbie Hancock, Pat Metheny and Ron Carter with Juilliard Jazz Quartet are some of them. There will also be Al Jarreau, Phil Perry, Bobby McFerrin, Joey DeFrancesco, George Duke Trio, David Sanborn, Poncho Sanchez Latin Jazz Band, Sheila E. & Escovedo Family Band and the music legend Stevie Wonder along with the queen of neo-soul Erykah Badu.(YD)
