BINUS UNIVERSITY was ranked as Two Stars University by the Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) Star Top University. Nine other colleges in Indonesia was also ranked by QS Star Top University.

In this program QS ratifies tens of universities in Indonesia and ranks them by using star symbols. Universities are evaluated against these criteria; research, employability, teaching, infrastructure, internationalization, innovation and administration.

Other campuses ranked with two stars include Bogor Agricultural University (IPB), Diponegoro University (Undip), Padjadjaran University (Unpad), Jember University (Unej), Gunadarma University (Gundar), Parahyangan Catholic University (Unpar) and Brawijaya University (UB).

ITB obtained the highest rank because the Ganesha Campus was ranked with five stars on the internationalisation and engineering technology point. The 10th November Institute of Technology (ITS) was ranked with three stars.

Meanwhile, University of Indonesis (UI) escalates to the 217 th position on the World Class University Ranking (WCUR) of Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) 2011/2012.

QS is an institution with a high concern for education, especially college-level education. Officially launched in 1990, their head office is located in north of London and their branch offices are located in various cities throughout the world. QS World University Ranking is a ranking system for 500 universities all over the world and it was first started in 2004.

Moreover, this achievement proves the commitment of BINUS UNIVERSITY to become a world-class university in 2020. BINUS UNIVERSITY is continuously creating new programs and innovations, contributing for Indonesia’s development.

In its 30 th anniversary, the campus which was established by Joseph Wibowo has recorded various achievements. It was certified with the International ISO 9001: 2004 – 1997, ISO 9001:2001, Malcolm Baldrige – 2008, Service Excellence – 2008, IWA 2: 2007 – 2008 (Guidelines for the application of ISO 9001:2000 in Education), ISO 9001:2008 – 2009.
