“Bakar Batu” Comic Strip by Joby Nobelio Kurniadi Hana
Comic strips with a slice of life genre that tells about Rain. Rain, a 25-year-old office worker, has become exhausted by the repetitive routine of his everyday life. Every morning begins with rushing to catch the bus, while his days at the office feel lonely and monotonous. During lunch breaks, he often finds himself standing alone, watching others socialize and have fun.
One day, Rain comes across an advertisement inviting people to “Come to Papua.” Without giving it much thought, he decides to buy a ticket. When Rain arrives in Papua, he meets a group of people he has never known before through a travel agency. At first, being surrounded by strangers feels unfamiliar, but as the journey continues, they begin creating memories together.
Through this journey, Rain realizes that what he has been missing is not simply a vacation, but the sense of connection, togetherness, and joy that comes from experiencing something with others. He understands that rediscovering that feeling requires change and that change itself is a process.
