“The Inner Map” Narrative Therapy Media by Jeremiah Calvin

The Inner Map is a creative final project developed by Jeremiah Calvin from the Visual Communication Design program at Binus Malang. Designed as a guided journal, the work serves as an interactive and empathetic medium for individuals navigating the complexities of emotional overload and daily pressures. Through a thoughtful blend of visual storytelling and reflective prompts, the project addresses the common modern tendency to suppress feelings and seek distractions rather than gently confronting one’s inner emotional state.

Central to the journal is the character Miro, a supportive guide designed to accompany users and validate their feelings without judgment. The work explores core themes of self-discovery, encouraging individuals to identify physical expressions of stress, acknowledge unexpressed emotions, and navigate feelings of loneliness. By offering structured moments for personal reflection, ranging from recognizing recurring emotional patterns to cultivating self-compassion, the project fosters a gradual and compassionate approach to self-acceptance.
