Nanda Putra Nugraha Abdillah – NARASI PEWAYANGAN JAWA MELALUI PERANCANGAN GAME ONLINE “ANGKARA MURKA” UNTUK GEN Z DENGAN CONCEPT ART DAN 3D MODELLING DALAM PLATFORM ROBLOX

The purpose of this research is to create the RPG game “Angkara Murka” on the Roblox platform as a means of increasing generation Z’s understanding of the story and noble moral lessons in Javanese puppetry. The research methodology employed is qualitative, with a design thinking approach. Primary data was gathered through semi-structured interviews with seven people, including puppeteers, Roblox gaming community leaders, game developers, and game and puppet aficionados, while secondary data came from literature reviews. The study’s findings reveal that this game was successful in enhancing the recognition of Javanese culture in generation Z, with a user
satisfaction score of 91.71%. The Roblox platform has proven beneficial for game distribution, providing efficiency and minimal costs while also allowing for active community participation. This game was successful in incorporating the concept of puppetry and Javanese culture into appealing images and tales, earning very positive user evaluations.

Collaboration with cultural institutions, as well as promotion through content creators on social media platforms, are recommended for increasing instructional content and audience reach. This study demonstrates that modern media, such as games, can be an effective instrument for maintaining and introducing local culture to the younger generation, as well as serving as a resource for other game producers seeking to incorporate local cultural themes into their products.
