Visual Branding Review “Cak Khoirus”

Visual Branding

Visual branding is the practice of crafting a distinctive and consistent visual identity that embodies a brand’s core values, unique personality, and offerings. It serves as the foundation for how a brand
presents itself visually to the world, ensuring it stands out and resonates with its target audience. This process involves strategically combining design elements such as typography, color palettes, graphic motifs, and imagery to create a cohesive and memorable representation of the brand.

Cak Khoirus

Cak Khoirus is one of the popular warung lalapan and seafood dishes in Malang and is always busy
with visitors. However, the lack of a specific impression left by the Cak Khoirus visual branding and
social media design is not leaving an intriguing impression to the customers.

Logo

What makes great logos is that they’re relevant to the markets their companies target. More importantly, they clearly communicate a brand’s personality and identity. A primary component is the use of colors in your logo, which can trigger different emotions and show your brand’s personality to consumers.
The advantage of the Cak Khoirus logo is giving approachable and friendly design, which resonates
well with its target audience. This positive attribute helps establish a sense of connection and relatability, making the brand appear inviting.
However, a significant disadvantage of the logo is its lack of flexibility and overall effectiveness. Upon closer evaluation against the principles of effective logo design, the Cak Khoirus logo incorporates overly complex and numerous loud visual elements. This complexity detracts from its
ability to function efficiently across various applications and mediums, as a good logo typically
prioritizes simplicity, clarity, and adaptability. Furthermore, the design may not immediately be
recognised as a traditional logo to some viewers, which could hinder brand recognition and
memorability

Social Media

Another noticeable issue is their social media presence, which appears disorganized and inconsistent. The lack of a cohesive theme or distinct visual identity makes an unappealing
look across their platforms. Also inconsistent design quality which varies significantly from
post to post, further weakening the brand’s image. Without a uniform style or structured
approach, their social media fails to establish a strong and recognizable brand persona, which
is essential for engaging and retaining an audience.

This disarray is particularly unfortunate given the tremendous marketing potential of social
media. Platforms like Instagram offer powerful tools for connecting with target audiences,
building relationships, and fostering brand loyalty. However, by neglecting to create an
attractive and consistent presence, they are missing valuable opportunities to captivate their
audience and effectively communicate their brand message.
