Klenteng Eng An Kiong. A Rich Culture with Rich Visual Identity

The biggest temple on Malang, Eng An Kiong, was the place that i choose for analysis design. First of all the one thing that i look at was the sign. The sign included the thin font and this was kinda different with the oldest one. The oldest one represent the traditional chinese typing and the newest one represent the modern one. After the typography, we re gonna move to the illustration and relief. This two icon just being realism. The reason why the use the realism ways because the chinese old painting used that the term way to draw. The old chinese artstyle was linked hardly on that place. Just look at the pattern and the color. The luxurious pattern with spiral and golden color. Also the complex color that make the arts more lively.
