DESIGN. DESIGNER. DESIGNEST. School of Design BINUS @Malang Final Project Exhibition
BINUS University School of Design held a “Design. Designer. Designest”, an art exhibition as a way for the student to express their emotion and creativity individually. There were students from Visual Communication Design, Interior Design, and Interactive Design and Technology that presented their work at this fair.
The goal of this exhibition was to present every student’s work on their final exams, while it also served as the opportunity for the student to express themselves through their opus that was made in the whole semester. The exhibition was attended by students from 3 study programs from Binusian Class of 2024-2026. There are 924 works from 15 different lectures, including photography, books, videography, furniture, mockups, art installations, design drawings, etc. Each piece and lecture has its own brief according to the tested competence.
Besides acting as a form of expression for the students, the program also meant to grow the climate of art exhibitions in Malang City, started by the students as a major factor in the development of the design industry in Indonesia. BINUS UNIVERSITY via School of Design is also expected to be able to provide a positive impact directly to the public as the primary stakeholder in case of studies during the learning process.
“In Malang, I can see that design isn’t that much popular compared to the other metropolitan cities in Indonesia. I hope that by participating in this event, people will be able to recognize our work while at the same time broadening our network. Also, it is a good way to improve our portfolio to let the general public trust us whenever they need something such as graphic design or home design,” said Farrah Abida Asha, the representative of BINUSIAN class 2025 from Design Interior.
