Inktober Exhibition 2022
Who doesn’t know Inktober?
For ordinary people, maybe inktober is still rarely heard and known. But for illustrators and artists, this word is already very popular. Inktober is a mandatory event that all illustrators look forward to every year in October.
Inktober is a competition held in October every year by illustrators or drawing artists, where in 31 days, each artist/illustrator challenges themselves to make 31 works made of ink.
Every October, there is always a list of themes that illustrators should draw daily. The themes that appear are very diverse every year. There are no rules that are too enticing in this event. And everyone can follow it. As long it’s a different story when Inktober is sponsored by a product, there will be adjustments in the rules, and usually, there will be quite an attractive prize for the artist/illustrator who perfectly completes this challenge.
Jake Parker created Inktober in 2009 as a challenge to improve his inking skills and develop positive drawing habits. It has since grown worldwide, with thousands of artists taking on the challenge every year.
This illustrator from the United States is well-known in the world of drawing. Jake Parker himself already has many works in the world of drawing. He was also part of the team making famous animated films, making Jake Parker highly acclaimed. Then Jake Parker initiated the Inktober event in 2009. This idea was based on motivating artists to continue working. Inktober itself is a place for illustrators to show their talents.
Inktober started posting official prompt lists in 2016. Before that, people just came up with their ideas for each day.
For the Binusians themselves, especially at the @Malang Campus, the Inktober celebration was continued with an exhibition of the works of the Inktober 2022 participants, which was attended by all B22-B26 Binusians from Malang, Bandung, and general participants on 7-9 November 2022 at the Hall of the Binus Malang campus itself, Initiated by Binus @Malang Campus DKV lecturer himself Mr. Novida Nur Miftakhul Arif, S.Pd., M.Sn. in collaboration with TAMPAR Production as the main sponsor.
