Course Description – Semester 4

COMM6574012 Production Planning (4 SKS). This course provides knowledge and skills to create production planning design concepts which can be in the form of stories/content/services, visuals, and sound, by determining Production Process Planning in the form of Storyboards/content outlines, budgeting, scheduling, testing, staff (by the team). Producing audio-visual content for client’s requirements and obtaining client’s approval. This course is quality control.

COMM6500012 Creativity for Media Communication (2 SKS). This course provides knowledge and skill for students to improve their sense of creativity in producing content by using production equipment. In addition, this course also enhances innovation in utilization of production equipment to produce creative content effectively. Students will also learn about designing schemes for non studio-base and studio-base production.

COMM6575012 Current Issues in Communication (4 SKS). This course provides knowledge and skill for students to practice how to apply management issues and communication which includes the basic concepts, the potential issue identification affecting the organization, the management, and the method how to control issue, the organizer of manual management issue planning, controlling the communication when the issue arises, facing media when the issue arises, controlling social media and digital communication when the issue arises.

MDIA6054 Creative Audio Visual (2 SKS). This course focuses on basic knowledge process of creative visual and audio. The objective of this study is to give students of Communication study program knowledge of basic creativity in visual and audio. They will be able to recognize the art of creative visual audio and the basics of how to manipulate visual and audio, then students will be able to apply this knowledge in their communication work within visual and audio theoretically and practical.

DSGN6801012 Motion Graphic (2 SKS). This course focuses on basic knowledge process of creative motion graphic. The objective of this study is to give students of Communication studies a knowledge about Motion Graphic. They will be able to recognize the art of motion graphic and the basics of how to manipulate visual and audio, then students will be able to apply this knowledge in their visual and audio of graphic motion theoretically and practical.

COMM6576012 Content Production (6 SKS). In this course, students will learn how the stages of content production are produced, starting from understanding basic concepts, planning, implementing, and evaluating this course. Students are expected to carry out a project with content that can be in the form of uploaded text, images, video or audio in digital format. the goal is not just to publish writings or images in digital form. There is a message that must be conveyed through the digital content created.  By implementing their knowledge through hands-on practice, students are expected to be able to offer solutions through the digital content they create by monitoring their social media accounts. This course will run entirely in the content production lab. This course guarantees quality.
