Course Description – Semester 3

COMM6565012 Communication Data and Technology (6 SKS). This course provides an understanding of the role of data and technology in a communication context, especially in contemporary society. It gives students basic knowledge about relating, evaluating, shaping and using data for communication purposes. Also, provide information about communication technology to deliver messages following their goal, contexts, and target audience. it is a prerequisite for communication research methods and related courses.

COMM6675012 Communication Research Methodology (4 SKS). Researching human communication is, at heart, simply a journey from not knowing something to knowing something or to knowing something more about human communication. Certainly it is interesting and intellectually rewarding. Virtual realities, social networking, web chat, soap operas, family dynamics, podcasts, advertising, tweets, and group decision making are just a few manifestations of the complex interactions that we call human communication and that we can research. It also offers a comprehensive and in-depth review of the field and a set of guidelines for how to think about, plan, and carry out communication studies in social context.

COMM6676012 Contemporary Content Production (4 SKS). This course will provide the basics of skills in producing contemporary content. These skills include basic creative writing, basic design and typography, basic photography, basic cinematography, basic audio production and producing content using AI. With the provision of these skills, students are expected to be professionally and ethically able to convey messages through various communication channels, including text, audio, visual and audio-visual.
