In the studio IV project of Hospitality, this project took upon a new path of explorative where
two completely different cultures meet in one hotel design. The hotel of Oberoi that is in
Astamaya dago is designed with the purpose of creating new experiences for those who stays.
The Oberoi Group is a luxury hotel group with its head office in New Delhi, India. Founded in
1934, the company owns and operates 32 luxury hotels and two river cruise ships in 7 countries,
primarily under its Oberoi Hotels & Resorts and Trident brands.
Oberoi has a straightforward identity, they commit to always produce a cultural, human centric
and environmentally friendly facility to their guest. Through generations, The Oberoi Group
echoed the same philosophy of ensuring joy and wellness through connecting human with the
environment.
With that in mind, the concept called “Rasasvada Samyati” meant the continuous flow of
complete bliss in the absence of all thought. With this concept, this design explains the
synchronization of Indian culture (Oberoi origin) and Sundanese culture and how with this
brand-new experience can unite and blend the people with the environment itself that creates the
true sensation of serenity that the people seek.
