Immersive design has emerged as a transformative force in virtual reality environments, particularly in the realm of museum showcases. Our recent research, exploring the integration of immersive design principles in a virtual museum showroom, has not only garnered significant attention but has also earned us the prestigious 2nd place in the Innovation Award. This article delves into the key findings of our research, emphasizing the impact of immersive design on user engagement, psychological measurements, and the preservation of cultural heritage objects. 

Our research places a spotlight on the pivotal role of immersive design in crafting an enriched user experience. By strategically incorporating features such as object interaction, scene features, and article hotspots, we have successfully guided users’ attention, facilitating a more profound understanding and engagement with historical artifacts. The intentional replication of real-world museum conditions, including lighting and material characteristics, has further elevated the virtual experience, blurring the lines between the virtual and physical realms. 

One of the novel aspects explored in our research is the infusion of playfulness into immersive design. By integrating elements that evoke feelings of enjoyment, curiosity, and exploration, we have not only captured users’ attention but also encouraged active participation and interaction within the virtual environment. This playful approach not only deepens user engagement but also contributes to a more memorable and enriching encounter. 

Our exploration extends beyond traditional immersive design elements, encompassing cutting-edge technologies such as digital twins and motion-based interactions. The versatility of these technologies has allowed us to create dynamic and interactive virtual worlds, providing users with an unprecedented level of engagement.
