Where History Comes Alive: Vania’s Story from Rome
In Rome, history isn’t something found only in books. It lives in the city itself. For Vania Belinda Saputra, a Creativepreneurship student at BINUS @Bandung, discovering this began with an opportunity she is incredibly grateful for: a study abroad program at Sapienza University of Rome, one of the world’s oldest universities, made possible by BINUS University.
A Completely Different World
Living and studying in Rome meant stepping into a completely different culture. Vania learned to adapt to new ways of life, all while gaining firsthand insights into the city’s remarkable history.
Walking Through the Past
She walked through ancient ruins, admired historic architecture, and experienced Italian culture firsthand. Together, these moments gave Vania a new perspective on how history continues to shape everyday life.
Growing Along the Way
A new environment also brought its own challenges. Along the way, Vania learned to adapt to a different environment, overcome language barriers, and connect with people from diverse backgrounds.
More Than a Journey
For Vania, the experience comes down to one simple truth:
“Every challenge became a lesson, and every new friendship became part of the experience.”
