Before, During, and Beyond: Nevia’s Study Abroad Journey in Poland
Studying abroad asks a lot of a student. It calls for independence, initiative, and a proactive spirit in seeking information. Nevia Zahra knows this well.
Last semester, the Creativepreneurship student at BINUS University took the study abroad path to Wrocław University of Science and Technology, Poland. It became one of the most valuable academic and personal experiences of her studies. And throughout that path, she never had to walk it alone.
Before Departure
The journey began with Nevia actively seeking information, especially through the BINUS International Office. At the same time, BINUS University provided outstanding support in facilitating the entire process, from registration and administration to document preparation, all the way to departure.
While Abroad
The support continued once she arrived in her host country. The International Office held Zoom meetings for daily life updates, making sure the students were doing well and assisting them whenever they faced obstacles or difficulties while adapting abroad. For Nevia, this continuous care and guidance was the most memorable part of the experience.
In Poland, she gained academic insight into the dynamics of business and entrepreneurship from an international perspective. Beyond that, she sharpened her critical thinking, adaptability, and cross-cultural communication skills.
Back Home
Even as the semester came to an end, the campus kept monitoring the students’ progress until they returned to Indonesia. From before departure to the journey home, BINUS was there at every stage.
A Message for Fellow Students
Looking back, Nevia has one message for students who want to test their potential and expand their global network: the study abroad program at BINUS University is a golden opportunity that is truly worth taking.
