His contributions to the program included leading Design Thinking workshops, facilitating interdisciplinary group projects, and mentoring students and lecturers from BINUS Bandung’s Creativepreneurship and Computer Science programs. Tim’s collaborative and engaging approach encouraged participants to develop creative and practical solutions for global sustainability challenges.
Tim’s involvement in the program was strongly supported by the Erasmus+ and CBHE Program, which aimed to enhance institutional capacity and foster international collaboration in higher education. His ability to share European best practices while fostering cross-cultural knowledge exchange enriched the program, providing participants with a diverse and comprehensive learning experience.
One of the program’s standout activities was the collaboration with Marriott International, where Tim accompanied students and staff on field visits to Marriott Hotels and Resorts. These visits gave participants an inside look at how the hospitality industry manages food waste, providing a real-world perspective that complemented academic theories. Tim’s expertise helped participants understand the economic, environmental, and operational dimensions of food waste management, inspiring innovative ideas that bridged the gap between industry practices and sustainability principles.
In addition to his academic contributions, Tim actively engaged in the program’s cultural activities, embracing Indonesian traditions while sharing insights into Belgian culture. He also participated in the International Interdisciplinary Conference, where he contributed to discussions on global sustainability challenges. Tim’s involvement in the IN2FOOD Program exemplified the spirit of international collaboration, combining academic rigor, practical insights, and cultural exchange. His work with BINUS Bandung and other partner institutions left a lasting impact, inspiring students and staff to take meaningful steps toward a more sustainable future
