Industrial Engineering undergraduate program BINUS at Semarang Campus has BAN-PT accredited since 2022. The program provides updated Industrial & system engineering knowledge and skills. Industrial Engineering allows flexibility to its students to study certain topics in their 5th semester: Industrial Digital Transformation (Semarang Campus); and Supply Chain Engineering, Service Systems Engineering, & Manufacturing Systems (Jakarta Campus)

Through this program, the student engages in the study of how to describe, evaluate, design, modify, control, and improve the performance of integrated systems. The program emphasizes the application of engineering fundamentals with a balanced treatment of theory, design, and experience in class and field through industrial visits, industrial knowledge sharing, projects, and internships.

Laboratory

Industrial Engineering at Semarang Campus equipped by 6 (six) Laboratory including Drawing Laboratory, Human-Integrated Systems Laboratory, Physics Laboratory, Additive & Manufacturing Laboratory, Industrial Project Laboratory, and Multimedia & Computer Laboratory. Laboratory that students can access include the Digital Industry Laboratory (Smart Manufacturing) and Smart Warehouse at Jakarta Campus.

Curriculum

The curriculum is designed to shape the graduate with analytical, and problem-solving skills, and spirit in contributing to fostering and empowering Indonesian society. With supply chain, warehouse & database,  data science, and industrial digital transformation knowledge, the graduate of Industrial Engineering Semarang Campus can pursue their career in the sixth semester through internship,  merdeka belajar kampus merdeka (MBKM), student exchange, and fast track magister program (S2).

The curriculum is composed of a blend of fundamental topics in mathematics, and physical and engineering sciences knowledge with the principles and methods of engineering analysis and design. The topics of computer applications, management, and social sciences, such as programming, data analysis, financial management, human resources management, economy, cost accounting, and industrial psychology become the strength of the graduates.

Program Focus

The main focus of the program is optimizing the performance of systems in an effective, efficient, and productive way within the framework of the industrial digital transformation. The object designed is not only tangible objects such as products or buildings but also an integrated system consisting of people, machines, materials, energy, information systems, and how the implementation in industry 4.0 era.

Prospect Career

Industrial engineers are employed in BUMN, BUMS, academic sector, private company in manufacturing, supply chain and service industries. The graduate can take on a role  as Supply Chain Engineer, Operation & Production Engineer, Quality Control/Assurance Engineer, Product Specialist, Data Management & Specialist, Purchasing & Procurement Operation, Safety & Health Engineer, Cost Control Engineer, and academics.
