Sexual and Reproductive Health Care Services for Students
BINUS University provides its students with access to sexual and reproductive health-care services, including education, information, and preventive support. This commitment is reflected through the establishment and active operation of the Satuan Tugas Pencegahan dan Penanganan Kekerasan Seksual (Satgas PPKS) — a dedicated task force for the prevention and handling of sexual violence on campus.

The Satgas PPKS BINUS University was formally established through a Rector’s Decree on October 17, 2023, in accordance with Ministerial Regulation No. 30 of 2021 on the Prevention and Handling of Sexual Violence in Higher Education Institutions. The formation process was led by the Student Advisory and Support Center (SASC) under the supervision of Student Affairs, ensuring that the selected members are trained and competent in offering guidance, education, and assistance to students in need.
Satgas PPKS is not only a response mechanism but also a preventive educational platform. Each year, the team is introduced and socialized to all new students during the first week of orientation and welcoming sessions, ensuring that every student understands their rights, access points, and available support channels for maintaining a safe and healthy campus environment.
In February 2024, the BINUS Alumni Association (IKABINUS) organized a talk show titled “Cegah Kanker Sejak Dini” (Prevent Cancer Early), featuring Dr. Liong Pit Lin, a stage-4 cancer survivor of breast, uterine, and spinal cancers for BINUSIAN community. The session focused on raising awareness and promoting early prevention of reproductive-related cancers (breast and uterine) and encouraging healthy lifestyle practices.
In addition to its preventive role, BINUS also conducts community education initiatives through Teach For Indonesia (TFI), such as awareness programs on mental health, personal well-being, and respect in relationships. These initiatives aim to empower students with accurate information, promote respect for others, and encourage healthy interpersonal boundaries.
By integrating educational campaigns with formal support systems like Satgas PPKS, BINUS University demonstrates its strong institutional commitment to fostering a safe, inclusive, and health-conscious learning environment. This holistic approach ensures that all students have access to reliable sexual and reproductive health information, as well as confidential and professional support whenever needed.
