Sexual and Reproductive Health Care Services for Students
Binus University is committed to providing comprehensive sexual and reproductive health care services for both students and staff, with free access to many of these services. This includes not only healthcare facilities but also valuable information and educational resources designed to enhance awareness and understanding of sexual and reproductive health.
Here are some key programs offered by BINUS:
- Free IVA Test: This screening, available at no cost for both students and staff, facilitates the early detection of cervical cancer, promoting preventive health measures.
- Research Launch by Prof. Juneman Abraham: This research focuses on “Prevention and Handling of Sexual Violence Against Children for Children and Parents,” in collaboration with the Ministry of Women’s Empowerment and Child Protection, Wahana Visi Indonesia (WVI), and the Indonesian Psychological Association (HIMPSI).
- Partnership with RS Bunda: This specialized hospital offers a range of services related to sexual and reproductive health, including pregnancy check-ups, reproductive health consultations, and educational programs for women’s health, all accessible to the BINUS community.
Additionally, Binus has discussed the formation of a Pansel (Selection Panel) to Satgas PPKS (Satuan Tugas Pencegahan dan Penanganan Kekerasan Seksual) which is a Task Unit formed by the government for universities to have a unit tasked as a center to prevent and combat sexual assaults in the academic environment.
