BINUS University extends lifelong learning beyond its enrolled students through public seminars, knowledge-sharing activities, and community educational programmes. In 2025, these activities provided external participants—including the wider community, workers, entrepreneurs, local communities, and the broader academic community—with access to university-based knowledge and practical skills.

For the Wider Community and Workforce, BINUS conducted Knowledge Sharing: Chances & Challenges of Industry 4.0 Workforce on 12 July 2025 through Zoom. The activity was designed to reach the wider community without geographical limitations and provided learning on workforce transformation, emerging technologies, labour-market changes, and the skills needed to remain relevant in the Industry 4.0 era. This provided accessible lifelong-learning content to participants beyond BINUS’s enrolled students.

For UMKM and Community Entrepreneurs, BINUS conducted Laporan Keuangan Sederhana UMKM dan Analisa Laporan Keuangan in 2025. The educational webinar provided practical training on preparing and analysing financial statements for small businesses. By targeting external UMKM and community entrepreneurs, the activity extended BINUS’s educational resources to people outside its formal student population and provided directly applicable financial-management skills.

For the General Public and Wider Academic Community, BINUS participated in the NUNI International Seminar Series. BINUS’s public-events framework identifies NUNI International Seminars as public seminars open to the general public. In 2025, NUNI International Seminar Series #10 addressed “Thriving in the Digital Age: Balancing Mental Health, Well-being, and Sustainability in a Hyperconnected World.” The online seminar provided members of the wider academic and public community with access to educational discussions involving university speakers beyond BINUS.

For Local Communities, BINUS conducted Penguatan Literasi Digital: Pelatihan Dasar Komputer Internet untuk Masyarakat from 6–9 May 2025 in Desa Ciputri, Cianjur. The programme targeted village officials and UMKM operators and provided hands-on training in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint to strengthen digital skills for village administration and small-business activities.

These activities demonstrate BINUS’s provision of lifelong learning through both ad-hoc events and programmed educational activities, reaching external participants beyond its enrolled student population. Through public seminars, workforce knowledge-sharing, financial education for entrepreneurs, and practical digital-literacy training for local communities, BINUS provides structured educational opportunities and skills development for external participants.
