Learning Express (LeX) 2025

Learning Express (LeX) is an intensive two-week international program designed to provide students with a unique cross-cultural and collaborative learning experience. This year, LeX will bring together 30 students from Singapore Polytechnic (SP) and 30 students from BINUS University. Participants will work in interdisciplinary teams to develop sustainable innovation projects that empower local communities in Jakarta.

Using user-centered Design Thinking methods, participants will conduct fieldwork and co-create solutions with communities in Pasar Bunga Rawa Belong and Daoer Zenee. Teams will be guided by experienced facilitators from  SP and BINUS

Important Notes:

  • Students from BINUS @Bandung, @Malang, and @Semarang: Travel to and from Jakarta must be arranged and paid independently by the students. Please do not purchase your flight/train/bus tickets before you receive confirmation of participation from BINUS University.
  • Students from BINUS @Greater Jakarta and @Bekasi: Accommodation may be requested. If selected, please contact the Committee.
  • No attendance waiver is guaranteed. Requests can be submitted to the respective LSC, but approval is not assured.

Eligibility Requirements:

  • A Binusian 2027 or 2028 (BINUS Online students are not eligible)
  • GPA ≥ 2.75
  • Proficient in English communication
  • Fully committed to the entire program duration
  • Familiar with basic Design Thinking
  • Motivated and open-minded
