“As BINUS University approaches the 45-year milestone, we’re committed to co-creating the intelligent society. Through the consistent implementation of the Joint Benchmarking Study, held quarterly over the past several years, we continue to strengthen our contribution to advancing Indonesia’s higher education ecosystem. This initiative provides a meaningful space for Indonesian universities to enrich constructive collaboration, inspire one another, reinforce institutional relationships, and expand opportunities for broader cooperation,” said Dr. Rini Setiowati, our Vice-Rector for Collaboration and Global Engagement, while opening the discussion.

As a concrete step toward these shared goals, the discussion centered on practical ways to strengthen academic and institutional development across several priority areas. These included improving internal quality assurance systems, enhancing human capital management, and optimizing the use of information technology alongside campus facilities and infrastructure.

The exchange of insights and best practices between our experts and participants also highlighted strategies to reinforce university incubator and entrepreneurship programs. The dialogue further underscored the importance of advancing the quality of Computer Science education, so graduates are better prepared for an increasingly digital and innovation-driven future.

Building on these discussions, we reckoned that sustained collaboration among national institutions is essential to ensure long-term impact. Through continued partnership, universities can build resilient research networks, increase high-impact joint publications, expand faculty and student mobility, strengthen global visibility and rankings performance, and support ongoing knowledge transfer and capacity building.
