Ir. Wiryono Raharjo, M.Aech., Ph.D., P2A’s Director for Entrepreneurship and Innovation, emphasized, “Reflecting on Passage to ASEAN’s journey from 2012 onward, we’re reminded of how accredited, cohesive efforts can transform education and inspire innovation and unity across ASEAN.”

Participating in various programs can help members attract students and staff, illustrating how these programs can enhance their overall experience. For instance, Thailand is currently a popular destination. The country offers many rich cultural experiences and is an economical choice.

“This gathering signifies our commitment to actively and continuously fostering regional cooperation. The collaborative programs in Passage to ASEAN highlight the important role of higher education in shaping a sustainable future for ASEAN as a new economic hub in the coming decades. It is imperative to remember that ASEAN is not a mere organization; it is a regional community of nations,” as expressed by Dr. Rini Setiowati, S.E., M.B.A., the Vice-Rector of Collaboration and Global Engagement.

The annual meeting is one of the most anticipated avenues for the members. Each will be able to share their best practices and some potential activities to execute in the following year. This year, the members want to ensure that the number of mobility programs for the students and staff can be elevated, especially post-pandemic. Also, the willingness to see internships as part of the program’s offering might increase the students’ interest. So, watch this space!
