Jakarta, 6 June – The UN SDGs Open Pedagogy Summit – ASIA Chapter, held on June 4-5, 2024, marked a significant step in advancing the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in higher education. Hosted by BINUS University in partnership with Montgomery College, the summit aimed to enhance faculty capacity in integrating SDGs into various academic disciplines.
Over 30 participants, including faculty members from the Nusantara Higher Education Network (NUNI) and Passage to ASEAN (P2A), engaged in this proactive initiative. The workshop provided valuable insights into best practices for SDG integration, offering diverse materials and creative approaches to foster student expression and interdisciplinary collaboration.
“Integrating SDGs into our curriculum reflects our commitment to equipping our faculty with the knowledge and tools to inspire students to become active contributors to sustainable development,” stated Dr. Nelly, S.Kom., M.M., CSCA, Rector of BINUS University.
