Jakarta, 27 February 2024 – G’day from the #AussieBangetCorner at our university! The corner underwent a revamp yesterday to promote cultural exchange through activities that invite BINUSIANS to expand their global outlook.

The Corner has been in existence since 2017, and the revamp aims to enhance the BINUSIAN’s experience by immersing them in rich Australian culture. From reading a wide selection of fiction and non-fiction literature to watching Australian-made films and much more! We are thrilled to bring you more stories – so watch this space. The university takes pride in its commitment to internationalization to develop students holistically and nurture them to become global citizens by gaining exposure through active participation and engagement throughout their studies.

“The revamp of the #AussieBangetCorner in our university, along with expanding opportunities beyond the classroom through the Australian Award info session and the panel discussion with an emphasis on women in foreign policy, demonstrates our shared pursuit of building impactful, fruitful collaborations that will lead us to many remarkable achievements in the future. We are deeply grateful for the invaluable support from the Australian Embassy in celebrating the 75 years of Indonesia-Australia diplomatic relations this year,” as affirmed by Dr. Reina Setiawan, S.Kom, M.M, Vice-Rector for Academic Operations & Resources at BINUS University.

During the day, the Australian Award Info Session also opened its booth to us as part of ways to promote further study opportunities in the leading Australian higher education institutions. Students also enjoyed an insightful session on Women in Foreign Policy and Governance Across Southeast Asia with Dr Lina A. Alexandra, Head of the Department of International Relations at CSIS, Dr Eve Warburton, Director of ANU Indonesia’s Institute, and Dayu Nirma Amurwanti, S.E., M.Sc., Faculty Member of the Department of International Relations at our Faculty of Humanities.
