Jakarta, 21 January 2023 – Demonstrating a commitment to environmental stewardship and community engagement, our BINUS Student Transnational Ambassadors (BINUS STAR) made a significant impact on Saturday, 21 January 2023, as they joined forces for a trash cleanup at Taman Wisata Alam Mangrove, Pantai Indah Kapuk.
The initiative, part of a dedicated Community Development activity, reflects the strong sense of responsibility instilled in our BINUS STARs upon completing their study abroad programs. With gloves on and bags in hand, these ambassadors dedicated their Saturday to cleaning up the picturesque Mangrove Conservation Area, contributing to preserving this vital ecosystem. The global experiences gained during their study abroad programs should translate into positive actions within their local communities. The trash cleanup at Taman Wisata Alam Mangrove is a testament to our BINUS STARs’ commitment to making a tangible difference for the planet.
“We couldn’t be prouder of our BINUS STARs for embodying the spirit of positive change. This cleanup is just the beginning, and we hope to see even more participants joining hands for future events to create a cleaner, greener environment,” added Arina Utami.
As the university continues to foster a holistic approach to education, this hands-on environmental initiative underscores the importance of active participation and responsibility in creating a sustainable future. BINUS STARs, through actions like these, exemplify the positive impact that students can have on their communities and the planet.
