Public Events
BINUS University extends lifelong learning beyond its enrolled students through public seminars, knowledge-sharing activities, and community educational programmes. In 2025, these activities provided external participants—including the wider community, workers, entrepreneurs, local communities, and the broader academic community—with access to university-based knowledge and practical skills.
1. Ad Hoc Events
- Public lectures and knowledge-sharing
On 12 July 2025, BINUS University conducted Knowledge Sharing: Chances & Challenges of Industry 4.0 Workforce via Zoom. The activity was designed to reach the wider community without geographical limitations and provided learning on workforce transformation, emerging technologies, labour-market changes, and the skills needed to remain relevant in the Industry 4.0 era. This provided accessible lifelong-learning content to participants beyond BINUS’s enrolled students.

- Community educational events
In 2025, BINUS conducted Laporan Keuangan Sederhana UMKM dan Analisa Laporan Keuangan. The educational webinar provided practical training on preparing and analysing financial statements for small businesses. By targeting external UMKM and community entrepreneurs, the activity extended BINUS’s educational resources to people outside its formal student population and provided directly applicable financial-management skills.

2. Events Conducted on a Programme Basis
- Public lectures and seminar series

In 2025, BINUS University collaborated with other NUNI member universities and international partners in organising the NUNI International Seminar Series #10, held online from 24–28 November 2025. The seminar, themed “Thriving in the Digital Age: Balancing Mental Health, Well-being, and Sustainability in a Hyperconnected World,” was open to the public and offered free participation in English, with e-certificates available. The event provided external participants with access to educational discussions on mental health, well-being, and sustainability in the digital age. As part of an organised international seminar series, this collaborative initiative demonstrates BINUS University’s contribution to programme-based public learning opportunities beyond its enrolled student population.
- Community educational programmes

From 6–9 May 2025, BINUS conducted Penguatan Literasi Digital: Pelatihan Dasar Komputer Internet untuk Masyarakat in Desa Ciputri, Cianjur. The programme targeted village officials and UMKM operators and provided hands-on training in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint to strengthen digital skills for village administration and small-business activities.
These activities demonstrate BINUS’s provision of lifelong learning through both ad-hoc events and programmed educational activities, reaching external participants beyond its enrolled student population. Through public seminars, workforce knowledge-sharing, financial education for entrepreneurs, and practical digital-literacy training for local communities, BINUS provides structured educational opportunities and skills development for external participants.
