BINUS University actively hosts events that are open to the general public, including community educational programs and public engagement activities.

For example, in July 2024 BINUS, in collaboration with the Aliansi Organis Indonesia, organized Organic Farming Training in Labuan Bajo. This program was open to local farmers and focused on sustainable agricultural practices, equipping participants with knowledge and techniques to improve organic farming productivity.

Another initiative is the Festival Pulau Pramuka, held on October 30–31, 2024, as the closing of a long-term community mentoring program. This public event showcased disaster mitigation applications and featured exhibitions of local MSME products developed through BINUS mentoring. The festival also highlighted community workshops on eco-friendly tourism, waste management, food processing, and barista training—empowering women and local groups as drivers of sustainable economic growth.

Additionally, BINUS, in collaboration with other universities in the Nationwide University Network in Indonesia (NUNI), regularly hosts public seminars open to the general public. In 2024, some of the featured discussions included “Navigating the Changing Economic Landscape Amidst AI-Powered Technological Advancements” and “Stay Ahead of the Curve with Cutting-Edge Tech.”

Through such open events, BINUS demonstrates its strong commitment to knowledge-sharing and community empowerment, ensuring that university resources directly benefit the wider public.
