Description
This research aims to identify the activities of goods distribution at the company PT.Fajar Mitra Indah (FamilyMart). The problem faced is how to determine the optimal distribution route to minimize the resulting distribution costs and the distance traveled by vehicles. Qualitative methods are applied in analyzing the Capacitated Vehicle Routing Problem (CVRP) using the Saving matrix, Nearest neighbor and Gravity location approaches. The analysis results from this research show that the combination of the Gravity location and Saving matrix methods in a two-rate system is proven to be the best choice by producing distribution cost savings of 15.73% when compared to the current distribution system. The results of this research will be recommended to companies as an alternative distribution system with efficient cost and distance of distribution and suitable transportation fleet selection.(RI).
