Throughout this semester, I experienced a meaningful journey filled with learning, adaptation, and collaboration. At the beginning, I struggled to find a group for the assignment, but thanks to our lecturer, Ms. Irene, I was eventually placed with teammates who helped create a supportive and productive working environment. That moment taught me that sometimes growth begins when we are placed in situations outside our comfort zone.
Together, we brainstormed various ideas before finally deciding to develop a weather application called TitikKondisi. The idea originated from one of my teammates, and I contributed mainly in designing the user interface (UI). At first, my design was quite basic and heavily inspired by existing applications such as Weather Spark and Samsung Weather. However, through discussions and feedback, my teammate helped refine and modernize the design while still incorporating my original concepts. This process taught me how collaboration can elevate individual ideas into something more polished and meaningful.
I was also involved in creating a perceptual map that categorized applications based on features such as comprehensive vs. simple and paid vs. free. Initially, I felt confused about how to position our product within the map, but with guidance and teamwork, I gradually understood how strategic analysis plays a crucial role in product development. This experience helped me understand how positioning and differentiation influence a product’s value in the market.
During the B-Fest event, I took an active role by approaching visitors and encouraging them to provide feedback on TitikKondisi. Interacting directly with users allowed me to see how people perceived our product and helped us evaluate its strengths and weaknesses more objectively. Gathering real feedback was a valuable experience that taught me the importance of listening and observing user behavior firsthand.
Overall, this journey helped me grow not only in technical and analytical skills, but also in confidence and adaptability. I learned that collaboration, openness to feedback, and willingness to improve are essential in developing a meaningful product. This experience has strengthened my understanding of how ideas evolve into real solutions, and I am grateful for the opportunity to learn through this process.
