Throughout this journey, I began with a sense of optimism, especially since our team was formed before the course officially started. I believed that having familiarity within the team would make the process smoother. However, reality quickly showed that teamwork alone was not enough. We faced several challenges early on, especially when trying to decide what kind of product we wanted to build. After many discussions, revisions, and moments of uncertainty, we finally landed on an idea we believed in — a portable laptop stand.

Once the concept was decided, the real work began. From a financial perspective, I learned that creating a product is far more complex than just having a good idea. We had to carefully manage costs for design, material testing, and production. Budgeting became a constant challenge, especially as we experimented with different materials and searched for a sustainable production method. Eventually, we managed to complete our product and even establish a small production line using a friend’s 3D printer — a moment that truly felt like a breakthrough.

This project taught me that entrepreneurship is not always about smooth success, but about resilience and adaptability. Being restricted from selling F&B pushed us to explore unfamiliar territory, which unexpectedly broadened our creativity and mindset. Along the way, I also developed new skills such as marketing strategy, video editing, and progress tracking — skills I never expected to gain from this course.

Was the process difficult? Absolutely. But was it rewarding? Without a doubt. This experience taught me that challenges are not obstacles, but opportunities to grow. As a CFO, I learned that numbers are important, but persistence, teamwork, and adaptability are what truly turn an idea into something real.
