Chatbot in Healthcare: the Impact of Chatbots on Disease Diagnosis and Public Trust
Abstract: AI chatbots have been a trend for several years, including their integration into healthcare systems. The COVID-19 pandemic was the beginning of a sudden increase in technological advances. Chatbots can be very helpful in understanding disease symptoms, prevention, and initial treatment, but their sudden development has led to unwanted inaccuracies. Chatbots are still underdeveloped, causing patients to hesitate to use them due to privacy issues or problems with empathy and authentication. This study aims to analyze the results of chatbot implementation in the medical world, especially to evaluate whether chatbot’s accuracy has improved in making diagnoses. By taking a literature review approach, this study reviews the performance of chatbots in providing health information and its impact on public trust. The results of this study provide insight into chatbots in healthcare and look at the challenges that may be faced so that they can help develop chatbots in diagnostic accuracy.
