Ideation Competition – Youth Health Innovators 2026

Youth Health Innovators 2026 is a national-level ideation competition inviting senior high school students (SMA/SMK) to tackle one of Indonesia’s most pressing challenges: the lack of affordable and accessible healthcare in rural and underserved communities. Rather than requiring a finished prototype, the competition asks teams of up to three members to develop creative, human-centered ideas that are grounded in empathy, responsive to real community needs, and genuinely implementable in low-resource settings.

Participants can submit ideas across six thematic tracks: Preventive Health (disease prevention and healthy lifestyles), Mental Health & Well-being, Assistive Technology (tools for the elderly and people with disabilities), Environmental Health, Smart Nurse Care & Public Health, and Digital Health (apps, wearables, and simple IoT solutions). This breadth of themes reflects the diverse dimensions of health equity — and ensures that students from any background can find a meaningful entry point to contribute.

Selected finalists will receive mentoring from experts before presenting their ideas at Kampus Anggrek BINUS University on 26 August 2026, with the winners announced the following day. Beyond the competition itself, participants gain early exposure to the world of health technology, access to BINUS HealthTech Festival events, and the experience of competing at a national innovation platform — all of which make this an ideal first step for the next generation of health innovators. A total prize pool of Rp 6,000,000 is available for the winning teams.

Each team submits a poster (A2 size) and a video pitch of 2–3 minutes. The submission deadline is 3 July 2026, with the top 10 finalists announced on 24 July 2026.
