BINUS University and RS An Nisa representatives together, marking a strengthened collaboration for impactful healthcare innovation.

On August 5, 2025, BINUS University paid a visit to RS An Nisa Tangerang to strengthen an ongoing partnership in healthcare technology. This collaboration, built over the past few years, aims to turn research into practical healthcare solutions.

Introducing HEART-B

BINUS University showcased HEART-B, a non-contact vital signs detection device, sparking valuable discussions for real-world healthcare applications.

A key highlight of the visit was the presentation of HEART-B (Remote Photoplethysmograph), a non-contact device that detects vital signs using a camera. Developed by Dr. Winda Astuti, Dr. Syauqi Abdurrahman Abrori, Dr. Nur Afny, and BINUS student researchers, the prototype was showcased to RS An Nisa’s medical team. The live demonstration sparked valuable discussions on clinical use, with medical professionals offering insightful feedback for real-world application.

Mapping Future Collaborations

The visit also opened discussions between BINUS Technology Transfer and RS An Nisa on aligning research with hospital needs.

Beyond showcasing the prototype, the visit opened space to explore broader tech-driven solutions in healthcare. BINUS Technology Transfer, represented by Elioenai Sitepu, initiated a strategic discussion with RS An Nisa’s Research Supervisor Retno Pertiwi and Dr. Tyas. The focus: how to align BINUS research with hospital needs and challenges, ensuring direct impact on patient care and operations.

This visit reinforced BINUS University’s commitment to bridging academic research with real-world healthcare needs—ensuring innovations don’t stay in the lab, but reach those who need them most.
