Korean wave menjadi istilah yang menjelaskan budaya popular di Korea melalui produk hiburan atau <em>entertainment <\/em>seperti musik, drama, dan gaya hidup. Drama korea sebagai salah satu produk industry hiburan dari Korea yang sangat popular dan disukai oleh masyarakat di Indonesia telah berhasil menjadi <em>trend <\/em>\u00a0hiburan yang berdampak pada pergeseran budaya pop anak muda. Korean wave sebenarnya sudah berkembang sejak awal tahun 2000-an, sebelumnya industri <em>entertainment <\/em>dan televisi Indonesia dihiasi oleh tayangan-tayangan dari Jepang (ex: <em>One Litre Of Tears<\/em> (2005)) dan Taiwan (ex: <em>Meteor Garden<\/em> (2001)). Kemunculan <em>Korean Wave<\/em> pertama kali ditandai dengan kehadiran drama-dramanya yang berhasil memikat penonton Indonesia. <em>Jewel in the Palace<\/em> (2003) merupakan salah satu drama yang paling terkenal di Indonesia, kemudian <em>Winter Sonata, Endless Love,<\/em> dan <em>Autumn in My Heart <\/em>juga sukses menarik perhatian penonton Indonesia kala itu. Drama korea semakin menjadi favorit saat kemunculan <em>Full House <\/em>(2004) yang diperankan oleh Rain dan Song Hye Kyo, serta <em>Boys Before Flowers<\/em> (2009) yang membuat banyak penonton wanita tergila-gila dengan aktor Lee Min Ho. Setelah hampir satu dasawarsa, drama korea kembali menjadi program hiburan favorit masyarakat Indonesia terutama kaum perempuan.<\/p>\n<p>Di awal sampai pertengahan tahun 2020, drama Korea menjadi fenomena di dunia entertainment Indonesia. Terutama saat masa pandemic saat ini dimana sebagian besar masyarakat harus tinggal di rumah, sehingga drama korea yang bisa dinikmati secara berlangganan di beberapa <em>platform <\/em>digital seperti Viu, Netflix, Vidio, dan sebagainya. Jajaran judul drama korea yang menjadi favorit di masa #StayatHome diantaranya; Itaewon Class, The King; Eternal Monarch, Crash Landing on You, sampai The World of Married yang bahkan beberapa kali menjadi trending di twitter. Fenomena melambungnya drama korea yang menjadi hiburan favorit di masa pandemic, menjadi salah satu inspirasi bagi brand-brand dalam memperbaharui strategi komunikasi pemasaran mereka. Drama Korea sebagai salah satu konten hiburan favorit, jelas dilirik oleh berbagai brand sebagai salah satu <em>platform <\/em>yang dapat dimanfaatkan dalam strategi komunikasi pemasaran. Besarnya pengaruh secara <em>emotional <\/em>yang dirasakan oleh <em>audience <\/em>\u00a0drama korea, karena mereka menganggap alur cerita yang <em>relate <\/em>dengan kehidupan sehari-hari yang diperankan apik oleh actor Korea menjadi pertimbangan utama <em>brand-brand <\/em>ternama untuk melakukan brand aktivasi<\/p>\n<p>Salah satu brand yang sukses meningkatkan brand <em>engagement <\/em>melalui media drama korea adalah brand McQueen yang tampil di drama korea \u2018The World of Married\u2019. Salah satu scene, saat pemeran utama wanita Kim Hee-Ae memakai Story bag McQueen dengan setelan baju dari brand yang sama. Kemudian ada brand Tod yang dipakai oleh salah satu karakter utama wanita dalam drama korea Crash Landing on You. Sementara brand Roger Vivier juga menggunakan media drama korea \u2018The King: Eternal Monarch\u2019, brand tersebut muncul dalam produk <em>slingback pumps <\/em>yang dipakai Jung Eun-chae.<\/p>\n<p>Semakin banyaknya merek high-end merupakan strategi yang dipilih untuk mengenalkan produk terbaru pada public, sehingga brand tersebut akan memperoleh exposure yang tinggi dari audience drama korea.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp; Gabriella Sagita Putri, S.Sosio, M.Med.Kom Korean wave merupakan fenomena yang sedang hype melanda masyarakat Indonesia.
