Keputusan lokasi operasional oleh manajer pemasaran didasarkan pada rasionalisasi pemenuhan kebutuhan dan keinginan konsumen melalui pemberian kualitas pelayanan terbaik. Manajer operasional memutuskan lokasi operasional berdasarkan pertimbangan biaya. Heizer, Render, dan Monson (2014) memaparkan keputusan lokasi operasional paling sedikit mempengaruhi 25% harga penjualan produk, dan mampu mempengaruhi hingga 50% dari seluruh biaya operasional yang dilakukan dalam proses produksi hingga menghantarkan produk kepada konsumen.<\/p>\n<p>Pengaruh dari keputusan strategi lokasi operasional terhadap harga penjualan produk diilustrasikan pada biaya produksi yang dapat menjadi dasar penentuan harga jual produk. Apabila produk dapat dihasilkan dengan biaya yang rendah, namun biaya transportasi yang dibutuhkan dalam memperoleh bahan baku dan mendistribusikan produk kepada konsumen cukup tinggi maka biaya total produksi juga turut meningkat. Keputusan strategi lokasi memiliki pengaruh langsung terhadap biaya operasional suatu unit usaha. Pada lokasi yang berbeda, perbedaan harga bahan baku, tenaga kerja, biaya sewa, hingga pajak dapat mempengaruhi seberapa tinggi biaya yang dibutuhkan unit usaha untuk beroperasi pada suatu lokasi tertentu.<\/p>\n<p>Keputusan strategi lokasi oleh manajer operasional meliputi beberapa pilihan: (1) memperluas fasilitas yang saat ini dimiliki tanpa memindahkan lokasi operasional; (2) mempertahankan fasilitas pada lokasi saat ini dan menambah fasilitas baru pada lokasi yang berbeda; atau (3) menutup fasilitas pada lokasi saat ini dan pindah ke lokasi yang baru. Fasilitas yang dimaksud terdiri dari bangunan operasional, gudang, atau toko yang merupakan bagian dari kegiatan operasional perusahaan dalam menghasilkan suatu nilai produk.<\/p>\n<p>Keputusan strategi lokasi juga dapat dipengaruhi oleh jenis usaha yang dikelola. Pada perusahaan yang bergerak di sektor industri, minimalisasi biaya merupakan tujuan utama dari keputusan strategi lokasi. Pengelola akan memilih lokasi yang dapat meminimalisasi biaya operasional secara keseluruhan. Unit usaha yang bergerak di sektor retail akan memilih lokasi yang menawarkan pendapatan tertinggi, dengan demikian pengelola usaha akan berupaya untuk membuka unit usaha pada lokasi yang dekat dengan target konsumen (Heizer, Render, dan Munson, 2014). Berdasarkan pertimbangan-pertimbangan tersebut, maka dapat disimpulkan penentuan strategi lokasi tidak hanya berorientasi pada suplier atau konsumen, namun pemilihan lokasi didasarkan pada manfaat terbaik yang dapat ditawarkan suatu lokasi terhadap seluruh kegiatan operasional dari suatu unit usaha.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>REFERENSI<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Stevenson, H.
