Sama halnya dengan RasPi, catu daya yang memberikan tenaga pada RasPi tidak boleh dibawah tegangan minimal. Kenaikan konsumsi tersebut dikarenakan adanya penambahan perangkat keras, baik berupa penambahan kecepatan pada prosesor, penambahan modul tertentu (BLE, modul wifi dual band). Sedang pada RasPi Zero baik versi pertama maupun W\/WH masih menggunakan PSU 1,2A, karena hanya menggunakan prosesor dengan 1 core saja.<\/p>\n<p>Dari semua model RasPi terkecuali model Zero, semua RasPi sudah dilengkapi dengan modul untuk mendeteksi tegangan PSU yang rendah. Modul tersebut akan memberikan pesan error ketika PSU memberikan tegangan dibawah 4,63V \u00a0(+\/- 5%). Jika terdeteksi adanya catu daya yang rendah, maka RasPi akan memberikan pesan seperti gambar dibawah. Akan muncul tanda petir saat RasPi sedang proses <em>booting<\/em> ke OS.<\/p>\n<p>Masalah ini sering muncul karena pengguna menggunakan PSU dengan <em>charger smartphone<\/em>. <em>Charger<\/em> pada <em>smartphone<\/em> dapat menghasilkan tegangan 5V dimana hal itu mencukupi standar keperluan dari RasPi. Akan tetapi yang perlu diperhatikan adalah, berapa kapasitas yang dapat dihasilkan oleh charger tersebut, pada <em>charger smartphone<\/em> dengan tipe yang lama hanya dapat menghasilkan 1,2A hingga 1,8 A. Dimana hal tersebut kurang apabila dibandingkan dengan kebutuhan RasPi, yaitu minimal 2A. Sebab kedua yang sering terjadi adalah penggunaan kabel yang asal asalan, banyak sekali ditemukan kabel dengan kualitas yang kurang baik sehingga akan menimbulkan penurunan tegangan. Sehingga dapat menyebabkan masalah <em>under voltage <\/em>tersebut.<\/p>\n<p>Efek yang ditimbulkan dari <em>under voltage<\/em> dapat beraneka ragam, antar pengguna mungkin dapat mengalami masalah yang berbeda. Sama seperti jika kita mempunyai televisi atau kulkas, jika tegangan tidak stabil dapat merusak perangkat elektronik tersebut. Pada RasPi permasalahan yang dapat terjadi yaitu pada port yang tersambung dengan perangkat eksternal. Seperti dapat mengakibatkan kerusakan pada SD card, mulai dari data yang <em>corrupt<\/em> hingga format partisi yang rusak. Permasalahan lain yang mungkin timbul pada semua perangkat yang terhubung dengan USB, ada beberapa pengguna yang mengeluhkan USB 3.0 pada RasPi 4 hanya dapat bekerja pada kecepatan USB 2.0.
