Perusahaan perusahan dengan jumlah data yang besar, terutama yang bergerak dalam bidang fin-tech ataupun e-commerce harus lebih hati hati dalam menangani data, terutama data pelanggan. Diperlukan validasi terhadap identitas pelanggan, history transaksi secara menyeluruh dan hati hati. Akan tetapi hal itu tidaklah mudah, karena belum ada mekanisme yang dapat menjamin data pelanggan, ataupun belum adanya kebijaksanaan dari pemerintah. Jikapun data pelanggan telah dimutahkirkan, bagaimana perlindungan terhadap data tersebut, jaminan apa yang bisa dipakai terhadap hal itu.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Salah satu metode yang dapat digunakan adalah dengan memanfaatkan teknologi blockchain. Teknologi blockchain menawarkan solusi yang mungkin dapat dipakai untuk menanggulangi hal tersebut, dengan arsitektur yang mampu melindungi data, transaksi. Dengan adanya <em>ledger<\/em> atau buku besar di dalam blockchain, jika ada perubahan data di dalam rangkaian data, baik itu modifikasi, ataupun penambahan atau pengurangan data dapat di deteksi dengan mudah. Karena dengan blockchain data tidak disimpan di dalam 1 server, tetapi data di distribusikan ke semua node yang aktif. Jika terjadi perubahan, maka setiap node harus menginformasikan terhadap node yang lain.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Selain adanya fitur <em>ledger<\/em> atau buku besar, kemanan data dilindungi dengan mengadopsi \u00a0keamanan data pada <em>cryptocurency<\/em>. Salah satu cryptocurency terbesar saat ini bit coin, menggunakan teknologi <em>Secure Hash Algoritm<\/em> (SHA) 512. Dalam SHA 512 menggunakan fungsi hash 32 bit dan 64 bit. Dari data Desember 2013, telah ada 1300 varian dari SHA 256, dan lebih dari 900 varian SHA 512. Banyak sekali varian yang dapat digunakan untuk keamanan data, sehingga keamanan data pelanggan menjadi terjamin.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Dengan menggabungkan kedua fitur tersebut, maka keamanan data akan terjamin. Proteksi enkripsi menggunakan SHA 256 atau SHA 512 dengan berbagai macam varian, di gabungkan dengan sistem database yang terdistribusi ke banyak node menggunakan teknologi blockchain.
