In a survey conducted by How Americans Communicate in 1999 and envolved 1.001 people over 18 years of age, it found that 53% felt that a lack of effective communication was the major cause of marriage failure, significantly greater than money (38%) and in law interference (14%). Meanwhile, based on The Interpersonal Communication Book which is written by\u00a0 Joseph A. Devito in 2016, the\u00a0 success in interacting with neighbors, acquaintances, and people you meet every day depends on your ability to engage in satisfying conversation. It is about conversation that\u2019s more comfortable and enjoyable.<\/p>\n Supported by the explanation above, I view that communication skill can be a bridge to success in whatever your life passion is since it is the most essential thing in life. By having a good communication skill, you will be able to deliver your ideas and show your competencies to your partners. A good communication skill has its own indicators. The indicator itself is based on the criteria of Effective Communication by Tubbs and Moss in their book entitled Human Communication in 2003. Human communication is effective if you and your partner have the same meaning of message. Meanwhile, the second criteria is, when you and your partner understand each other, creating a great pleasure, giving a good influence and making a good action to each other.<\/p>\n In my point of view, the chance of you to suceess by having a good communication skill is very wide opened right now. Indonesia is the promising country in the digital industry. You are very welcome to join with global society. A research found that in 2017, there are 104.96 million people were accessing the internet in Indonesia. This number is projected to grow to 133.39 million in 2021. Moreover, a few months ago, BBC Online reported that Jakarta Indonesia is the most tagged city in the world in Instagram Story.<\/p>\n From the findings above, I may conclude that Indonesia is very well known in the global citizen society right now. If you can maximize your social media effectively, you will go global sooner. You are possible to meet a lot of people across the world so you can deliver your skill, show your competency and reach your goal. To reach that goal, you must have an ability to understand other people when communicating with them. In my opinion, understanding people is about holding your egocentric mind. It is about placing other people priority at the top.
