The importance of maintaining the brand reputation is without a doubt progressing the fundamental role for MSMEs branding. Based on the International Binus Basic Research Grant entitled “Exploring the Role of Social Media in the Reputation Recovery of Malang Tourism Destinations”, the research team develops the technological based product used for commercialized used namely “E-Catalog Social Media Recovery”. The product was developed based on the thorough methodological and through scientific elaboration. Three conference papers were presented in the Scopus-based International Conference. Malang is selected as the object of the study due to its popularity as the tourism destination. Not only providing with beautiful scenery of mountains and beaches, but Malang tourism also provides good quality of foods and craft. Further, the various offering for many brands creating the good-and-not-good competition.
Thus, ensuring the reputation recovery and maintaining the good brand is crucial. The E-Catalog Social Media Reputation Recovery product is designed to equip every MSMEs as the platform to promote their product/service. The product is equipped to MSMEs as the platform to guide the response to the unwanted news.
The Evagia MSME, as the partner of BINUS @Malang MSME is participated in this implementation. The Evagia MSME is conducting the business based on clothing with batik handmade art design. The Evagia MSME need to maintain its brand and ensure the business can grow and sustain with innovation. Thus, the aims of this research suits the objective of Evagia with the business sustainability goal. This E-Catalog is adopted to Evagia MSME, to improve and enhance the brand maintenance to various purpose. The product is adjusted to highlight the handmade batik with the social media platform source. The product is officially handed on October 31, 2025 to Evagia. The company feel grateful for the innovation product and hoping the great benefits will be received soon. The E-Catalog is right now in the process of IP-Registration, ensuring the ownership and benefits are protected well and correctly.
