DESIGNPHORIA \u2013 School of Design BINUS @Malang Final Project Exhibition<\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

BINUS University School of Design held <\/span>“Designphoria,”<\/span><\/b> an art exhibition showcasing all students’ works for their final exams, which was held from <\/span>January 31, 2025, to February 2, 2025.<\/span><\/b> DESIGNPHORIA<\/span><\/b> is one of the key agendas at <\/span>BINUS @Malang<\/span><\/b>, organized by the <\/span>School of Design<\/span><\/b> and the <\/span>BINUS Marketing Team<\/span><\/b> to introduce the campus facilities and learning environment that could be experienced through a series of events, <\/span>Open House. <\/span><\/b>This exhibition is not merely a platform to highlight the <\/span>School of Design’s presence<\/span><\/b> but also an opportunity for students to showcase their talents to other study programs and high school students from across Malang that\u2019s attending this exhibition.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Attended by students from the <\/span>Visual Communication Design, Interior Design,<\/span><\/b> and <\/span>Interactive Design and Technology<\/span><\/b> departments, the exhibition encourages participants to apply their skills while incorporating both technological advancements and local content. <\/span>Local content<\/span><\/b> serves as a means to elevate regional values by blending cultural and traditional elements with modern technology trends. This approach ensures that <\/span>heritage and innovation<\/span><\/b> coexist in every work created.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

One of the most iconic works in this exhibition comes from <\/span>Streaming Imaging Art Science<\/span><\/b> by <\/span>Yugi Median<\/span><\/b> and <\/span>Eligius Tama<\/span><\/b>. This piece features a <\/span>2D photograph of a woman whose facial expressions can change from smiling to sad<\/span><\/b>. It serves as a perfect example of the application of <\/span>cutting-edge technology<\/span><\/b>, where an ordinary photograph appears to move and transform. Additionally, many <\/span>streaming illustration works<\/span><\/b> in the exhibition showcase a creative response by blending <\/span>local content with international superhero narratives<\/span><\/b>, demonstrating an innovative fusion of cultural elements and modern storytelling.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Previously, the exhibition was held at <\/span>Malang Creative Center<\/span><\/b>; however, it has now been relocated to the <\/span>campus lobby<\/span><\/b>. This decision aims to enhance public awareness of the campus and its facilities while also optimizing the campus\u2019s own potential.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

It is hoped that this exhibition will serve as <\/span>both a source of inspiration and a benchmark<\/span><\/b> for future academic projects, enabling <\/span>School of Design<\/span><\/b> students to continuously refine their skills. In the long term, this initiative is expected to enhance their visibility to major industries, thereby increasing the employability of graduates and facilitating a higher absorption rate into the workforce immediately after graduation from Bina Nusantara University.<\/span><\/p>\n
