Jakarta, 4 July<\/span><\/b> –\u00a0 <\/span><\/b>The essence of student life at BINUS University lies in its rich diversity, which brings together individuals from various cultural and ethnic backgrounds.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n To gain a deeper understanding of this, Najma Ahmed Mohamed, a Computer Science freshman from Somalia who began her studies in February 2024, interviewed three fellow international students: Hassan Mohamed, Ali Abdirahman Abdilahi, and Vian Tolentino Martinez. All are recipients of the BINUS World Class Scholarship, and they shared their unique perspectives on what makes BINUS University a vibrant and inclusive place to study.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n For Hassan, a Somali student in the final phase of his Computer Science program, expressed great joy in interacting with peers from Indonesian and international backgrounds. He mentioned that \u201cthe diversity within the classroom and at BINUS Square, the university\u2019s dormitory, is one of the most enriching aspects of his time at BINUS University.\u201d<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n On the other hand, Ali and Vian, who have also been part of the BINUS University\u2019s community for over three years, mentioned their enjoyment of the local food and the kindness they have encountered from the university and the wider Indonesian community!\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n For Vian, our Business Information Systems student from the Philippines, the cultural, communicative, and personal similarities between Indonesian and Filipino cultures have made her transition to life and study at BINUS University easy and comfortable.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cFinancial support from BNUS University has been a significant help, enabling me to dedicate more time and energy to her academic pursuits without financial worry,\u201d she added.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Lastly, Ali, a Somali student and classmate of Hassan, shared his perspective on how regular sports events contribute to enhancing community engagement.
