Religious Tolerance in Jakarta State University Students: Case Study Attitudes and Views on Different Religious Beliefs

Abstract

This study was conducted to show the picture of the life and views of students UNJ tolerance toward students of different beliefs. It is also aware of the view of inclusive and exclusive attitudes towards differences in beliefs. The focus of research here is finding the majority view of the differences in beliefs UNJ students in campus life UNJ. The method used in this research is descriptive method with qualitative approach and confirmed by quantitative data. Results from this study showed the majority of students to be tolerant of other students of different convictions, but in certain case the student hesitation or silence. The gender and religious status, they have not influence for tolerant or intolerant attitude of students of the State University of Jakarta.
