Improving Students’ Learning Motivation by Increasing Lecturer’s Ability and Learning Model

Abstract

The purpose of the research is to study the effect of lecturer’s ability in managing class and learning model on student learning motivation. The research was conducted in Bina Nusantara University, Jakarta with a sample of 150 respondents selected randomly. This research used path analysis method. The result shows that there is positive direct effect of (1) lecturer’s ability in managing class, (2) and learning model, on the student’s learning motivation. The conclusion is (a) if lecturer’s ability in managing class is higher, it can increase student’s learning motivation; (b) if learning model is more precise, it can improve student’s learning motivation; (c) if lecturer’s ability in managing class is higher and the learning model is precise, student’s learning motivation can also be higher.
