BSSC Seminar 2025 “Dare to Lead: The Future Leader”

Jakarta, 2025 – BSSC Seminar 2025 was an inspiring online event organized by the BINUS Square Student Committee (BSSC) 15th Presidency with the theme “Dare to Lead: The Future Leader.” The seminar aimed to develop leadership mindsets among students by helping them understand what it truly means to lead not only through formal positions but also through initiative, communication, and strategic thinking.
This year’s seminar was conducted fully online via ZOOM Meeting and featured Mr. Louis Sastrawijaya, No.1 Motivational Coach in Indonesia, as the main speaker. He shared his experiences and insights about adaptive leadership, the courage to take initiative, and how to inspire others in the professional world. The event was open to both BINUSIAN and Non-BINUSIAN participants, with a total of 257 participants joining the seminar, consisting of 245 BINUSIANs and 12 Non-BINUSIANs.
The event began with an opening from the Master of the Ceremony (MC), followed by an opening prayer to start the seminar on a positive note. The seminar officially commenced as participants gathered online to learn and be inspired by the theme “Dare to Lead: The Future Leader.”
Then, opening speeches were delivered by Sabrina Paramitha Angeline as Project Manager of BSSC Seminar 2025, Felicia Susanty as Chairman of BSSC 15th Presidency, Mr. Aditia Perdana as BINUS Square Student Support Office (SSO) representative, and Mr. Muhammad Raziva as BINUS Square Student Organization Advisor (SOA) representative. These opening remarks highlighted the importance of leadership and the commitment of BSSC to support student growth through meaningful learning experiences.

Following the opening remarks, the main session was presented by Mr. Louis, who began his 60 minute talk by explaining the key concepts of modern leadership, emphasizing that leadership today is defined not by titles but by actions, influence, and adaptability. He greeted all participants with warm regards and opened an interactive presentation where participants actively responded through chat and reactions. His friendly and humorous approach created a relaxed atmosphere, as he often invited participants to guess leadership values and share their thoughts. This made the session both insightful and engaging from start to finish.

He shared his personal journey, valuable lessons from his professional experiences, and practical strategies for developing leadership skills in various contexts, both in organizations and the workplace. Throughout the presentation, participants were encouraged to reflect on their own leadership potential and how they can take initiative in their communities.
After the main presentation, the event continued with a talk show moderated by the MC. During this interactive discussion, Mr. Louis answered questions related to leadership challenges faced by students and young professionals. He shared stories and real-life examples that illustrated how courage, empathy, and self-awareness can help individuals become more effective leaders. This segment helped participants gain a deeper understanding of how to apply leadership principles in their daily lives.

The seminar then moved into a Q&A session, where participants could directly ask questions to Mr. Louis. Many attendees actively participated, raising insightful questions about how to handle leadership struggles, build confidence, and manage teamwork effectively. Mr. Louis responded warmly and shared motivational advice, encouraging students to lead by example and to keep growing through experience and reflection.
To express appreciation, the committee presented an e-certificate to Mr. Louis Sastrawijaya for his inspiring session in the BSSC Seminar 2025: “Dare to Lead – The Future Leader.” His insights motivated participants to embrace confidence, adaptability, and courage in their leadership journey.
