Basic Website Training Program 2025 is a training program initiated by the Information Technology and Data Management Subdivision under the Internal Affairs Division. Also known as BWTP’25, Basic Website Training Program is a six-day intensive training designed to equip participants with fundamental web development skills. Held from March 3 to March 9 2025 with the theme “From Zero to Hero: The Ultimate Web Creation Journey”, the program covered essential web development materials, guiding participants from basic HTML structures to deploying small-scale projects.

BWTP’25 began with welcoming speeches from Felicia Susanty as the Chairman of BSSC 15th Presidency and Muhammad Raziva Ramza Aziz, S.E., as the Student Organization Advisor. The event was led by Sabrina Paramitha Angeline as the MC, who guided participants throughout the program. The training then continued with five learning sessions led by experienced trainers and a Mini Project presentation session led by a couple of the trainers as judges. Each session was designed to help participants learn important website developing skills.

The first day of training kicked off with an introduction to HTML & CSS, the foundational technologies of web development, delivered by trainerAdrian Marc Fedier Purnama. On Monday, March 3, 2025, from 7:00 p.m. to 9:05 p.m. Western Indonesian Time, participants learned how to structure web pages using HTML and style them using CSS, exploring concepts like Flexbox and Grid Layouts. Hands-on exercises allowed them to create responsive and visually appealing web pages.

On the first session of the second day, Tuesday, March 4, 2025, from 7:00 p.m. to 9:05 p.m. Western Indonesian Time, participants shifted their focus to JavaScript. They explored fundamental programming concepts such as Variables, Functions, Loops, and Event Handling. Presented by trainer Adrian Marc Fedier Purnama, participants got to know what goes on behind JavaScript a lot deeper.

The second session, delivered by trainer Darren Farell, introduced participants to Basic Next.JS, a popular React Framework, covering Basic Routing and Page Creation. Participants were able to create their first page, learned everything about Basic Navigation for their page using the Next.JS routing system, and were also able to use the Fetch API in UseEffect.

Building on the previous day’s knowledge, on the third day, Wednesday, March 5, 2025, from 7:00 p.m. to 9:05 p.m Western Indonesian Time, the participants dove into Advanced Next.JS presented by trainer Maximillian Ryan Japri. They learned about Server-Side Rendering (SSR), Client-Side Rendering (CSR), Static Site Generation (SSG), as well as their applications. By the end of the session, participants were able to create dynamic web applications.

On the fourth day, Thursday, March 6, 2025, from 7:00 p.m. to 9:05 p.m. Western Indonesian Time, participants were introduced to databases in a session delivered by trainer Theresano Julian Laksono, focusing on PostgreSQL. Participants learned about relational database concepts, SQL Queries, and how to integrate PostgreSQL with web applications. Through practical exercises, they were able to set up and manage a database for storing and retrieving data efficiently.

Code collaboration was the highlight of day five on Saturday, March 8, 2025, from 7:00 p.m. to 9:0 p.m. Western Indonesian Time. There, participants were introduced to Git & GitHub by trainer Theresano Julian Laksono. They learned essential Git commands, branching strategies, and how to collaborate on projects using GitHub repositories. This session emphasized best practices in software development and teamwork.

The final day was dedicated to a Mini Project, where participants applied their acquired skills to develop a website. Held on Sunday, March 9, 2025, from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m Western Indonesian Time, each participant presented their project, showcasing their understanding of web development concepts. Their performances were evaluated by judges Adrian Marc Fedier Purnama and Theresano Julian Laksono.

After the scoring was completed, Michelle Tamara Hartono was announced as the Best Participant Performance, achieving a total score of 82.56, and was awarded the “Best Participant” certificate. Additionally, certificates were presented to the judges as a tribute of appreciation for their contributions to the training program.

The event concluded with a group photo session, followed by participants completing an evaluation form. Basic Website Training Program 2025 was an insightful event that provided participants with hands-on experience in modern web development. By the end of the training program, participants had gained practical skills and confidence in building and deploying web applications, enabling them to present themselves with confidence and professionalism to kick start their journey in web development.
