BSSC OSR Culture Division has opened Bahasa Class this semester, which was very special because for the first time, this class was dedicated for BINUS Square Exchange Student. The main purpose why this class opened was because to help Exchange Student in order to communicate well in Bahasa for their daily conversation. Other than that, Exchange Student could maintain some relation with other students.

In this Bahasa Class, we did a lot of activities, from studying, playing games, watching Indonesian culture until hanging out together. We provided 2 tutors to teach at Bahasa Class, which both of them interacted directly with the participants who joined the class. The tutors were Dena Haura from BINUS University and Marvin, Staff of BSSC OSR Culture Division. Classes usually started at 8 PM until 10 PM. In each meeting, the tutors would teach them how to have daily conversations using Bahasa like ordering food at restaurant, communicating with online transportation drivers, asking about direction, counting numbers, bargaining in markets and many more. At the end of the classes, the tutors would play a video about Indonesian culture or beautiful places that Exchange Student may visit in their holiday time.

For the very first year of Bahasa Class in BSSC OSR Culture Division, we got very good responses and results from the participants. Not only that, the tutors also gave a great enthusiasm in this class. It was shown in every meeting, especially for the last meeting, where both participants and tutors hung out together and had lunch in Pizza Hut. They were having a great conversation while enjoying their meal, and this class had made a lot of unforgettable memories and great friends. BSSC hoped that next year, Bahasa Class will be opened again and can help more Exchange Students to improve their skill in speaking Bahasa.
