BSSC Senior Cadre Forming 2021 “Our Next Step”

BSSC Senior Cadre Forming is a series of events held by the BSSC Executive Committee and Manager for the Staff. BSSC Senior Cadre Forming with the theme “Our Next Step” was held on May 8th-9th, 2021. This event is expected to assist every Staff in carrying out their role as a successor in BSSC next year. Therefore it held some interesting activities during those two days.

On the first day of BSSC Senior Cadre Forming, each Staff carried out activities that helped them hone their insight about Organizational Challenges and Being Globally Competent through a talk show. There were two sessions brought by experienced speakers. The first speaker was BSSC alumni, Daniel Santoso, explaining about challenges that he had experienced in BSSC. The second speaker was the Chairman of BSSC 8th Presidency, Vito Christian Giovanni, explaining about what is globally competent, how to achieve it, and why it is important.

On the second day of Senior Cadre Forming, each Staff was given technical training by Gilbert Lorentius. After the training, each Staff was grouped and assigned a study case to train their critical thinking further. Each group needed to present their result in front of several judges. At the end of the day, there was an introduction to Chairman Training Program by a representative from the election team, Gilbert Lorentius.
On the technical training, Staff was taught all about BSSC, including vision, mission, values, framework, annual programs, and types of meetings in BSSC. All of the materials were thoroughly explained in detail to make sure every Staff was technically ready either online or onsite.

By the end of the event, the Staff found the event helpful to assist them for the next stewardship period at BSSC. Together, they are ready to shape a better future and take their next step for BSSC, either as an Executive Committee, Manager, or Senior Staff.
