BSSC Benchmarking 2019

Do you know what benchmarking is? Benchmarking is a process that is commonly used in management, in which a unit or part of an organization or company can measure and compare its performance against similar organizations or companies, both internal and external. From benchmarking, an organization can get an overview (insight) about the performance of an organization so that it can be applied to the organization itself to achieve the desired goals. Therefore, BINUS Square Student Committee (BSSC), one of the student organization at BINUS University, wanted to compare the performance of BSSC itself with Rocca Space. Rocca Space is an event organizer engaged in sports that has been widely recommended and trusted by the community because it is a well-organized event management. BSSC and Rocca Space both often hold various events or activities.

BSSC Benchmarking 2019, which was held on Thursday, October 24th, 2019, was divided into 2 sessions, namely “Sharing Session” and “Question and Answer Session” by Rocca Space. The sharing that was brought by the Founder of Rocca Space is certainly related to event-making, which is the main activity of BSSC. She shared with us the background story of Rocca Space, which was from how they build, develop, and expand it into a bigger business through event strategic management. All of them was related to our main topic, event-making. The Founder of Rocca Space certainly is a good speaker as she interacted with us a lot during her sharing. We had a lot of fun there and got to know a lot more things about them as well as event-making. Moreover, she gave us the chance to ask anything that we were curious about. This “Question and Answer Session” took a big part in helping us to explore more. Rocca Space had also prepared dessert for us, so after we’ve done both sessions, we sat together while enjoying the food and also interacted with some of the Rocca Space’s staffs. The participants of this event were all having fun as we all went back to BINUS Square with much laughter and excitement.
