BSSC Heart Speak “The Power of Sharing”

On 22nd and 29th September 2019, BSSC HeartSpeak was held by BINUS Square Student Committee (BSSC). The event was about to give and share love towards each other, especially for the pity. Therefore, a joyful event was shared and brought to the orphans at Hati Suci Orphanage.

Series of joyous event prepared by BSSC raised the mood of every adorable child there. Initially on the first day, team leaders were introduced to the kids. Festive warm-up mini games were then played and led by the MC. Subsequently, a life lesson games, named “paper relay”, which was about to draw domain of things mentioned by the MC alternately. Thereafter, a “Music Connect Us” workshop, which was the day’s main event, was eagerly participated by every single child. Handmade music instruments, i.e., drum, tambourine, and maracas, were crafted utilizing used-up materials such as bottles, stopple plates, pebbles, and chopsticks. At the end of the day, we collected all the music instruments made to be brought again on 29th September, the second day.

A week after, the continuation of the first day was held. Although the events resembles the first day, it was way more fun and exciting due to the addition of “Heart2Heart” session, different mini games and mini music class. Team leaders were no longer introduced. Each kid was lined according to last week’s team. “Heart2Heart” session was started after the MC instructed each team to form a round formation. In the session, Members were asked to share about their passion and dreams. Kids were taught to make origami bird of the paper used to write their dreams. Thereafter the session done, Music instruments made last week were shared equally to each teams. Instructions of each instruments were delivered by the MC as the songs accompaniment. As closing for the last day, photos were taken as reminiscence of the precious memorable two days. Special gift from BSSC was also given sincerely to the orphanage.

In the end, everyone had a joyful two days at the orphanage. Those were reflected by their adorable faces. Farewell was undoubtedly hard to say, although beautiful memories were brought home.
